EDO Qld LawJam: Qld Planning Bills don’t strengthen environment protection

We’re holding a LawJam on Queensland’s new Planning Acts (passed 11 May 2016), to discuss the final contents, what they mean for you and our environment, and how you can influence planning from here.

  • EDO law reform solicitor Revel Pointon will explain what the Acts mean for koalas and our Reef
  • Conservation and heritage architect Peter Marquis-Kyle will address heritage protection; and 
  • Economist Cameron Murray will evaluate the Act concerning accountability, transparency and avoiding corruption in planning decision making.
