As part of the Shaping SEQ community conversation program, Environmental Defenders Office QLD (EDO Qld) has been invited to partner with the Queensland Government to deliver this Thought Leadership Series event to inspire conversation and ideas from the community to help shape the new SEQ Regional Plan, which is currently under review.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Planning Jackie Trad and EDO Qld Law Reform Solicitor Revel Pointon will introduce the evening.
The Department has chosen the key speaker CEO of CoDesign Studio Jessica Christiansen-Franks to help inspire community feedback on what you want for your SEQ Regional Plan. CoDesign Studio is a design and place-making consultancy dedicated to reinventing Australian Neighbourhoods. Jessica has spent the past decade looking into the social impacts of urbanisation, including identity construction in existing and emerging communities and social marginalisation of urban migrants.
The Shaping SEQ project team will also be at the event to collect great ideas from the community on the future of the region. For more information on Shaping SEQ visit: www.qld.gov.au/shapingseq
